Dan celebrated Mara’s second birthday by winning the battle with cancer in his brain, shown in a clean brain scan. His victory prize was entry into another clinical trial to get back to the business of fighting the Melanoma in the rest of his body. The newest treatment turned out to be the one with the most difficult side affects to date. The drugs induced nausea, vomiting and fatigue which when combined with the spread of the disease, affected Dan’s daily life considerably.
